Lima is the capital of Peru. It lies on the Pacific coast. The Plaza de Armas is in the main square of the old town of Lima. Many of its buildings are well preserved and you can see a lot of colonial architecture. Having said that, Lima is a thriving metropolitan city.
To understand Peru’s ancient history, visit Museo Larco. A museum which explains 5000 years of Peru’s ancient civilisations. Its erotic treasures draw much attention.
