Alternatively, the cost for the guide services of Reza for half a day (4 hours) = a non refundable deposit of 25 euros by Paypal or major credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) PLUS 50 euros in cash to Reza after his services. Total 75 euros.

This does not include transport, entrance fees or any food & beverage costs.

Highlights of Vienna



Vienna is the capital of Austria. It has a population of 1.9 million people. It lies on the Danube. Austria itself has a deep artistic culture what with famous musicians such as Mozart and Beethoven as well as painters such as Klimt, all being Austrian. As such there is so much to explore at a cultural level. You have Hamsburg summer residences and imperial palaces to explore.

The most popular visited site in Austria is the Schonbrunn Palace. It is a cultural World Heritage site. A residential palace housing its original ornate furnishings, it gives you an insight into Austrian imperial lifestyle. Similarly the manicured gardens provide a perfect recreational area for the city’s residents.

Another palace to visit is the Hofburg Imperial Palace. This highlights the Habsburg empire. There are 3 museums here. These are the Imperial Apartments, the Sisi Museum and the Imperial Silver Collection. All give a true insight into life at the imperial court.

Yet another is the Belvedere Museum. This  comprises two Belvedere Palaces. The upper and lower Belvedere with an extensive garden. Built in the early 18th century, the style is Baroque. Johann Lucas von Hildebrandt the architect. UNESCO has this site as a World Heritage Site. Today they house paintings from the Middle Ages to the present day. Indeed it not only hosts the greatest collection of Austrian art, but also paintings from famous painters such as Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet and Max Beckmann.

On a more unusual note, there is a museum called the Third Man Museum. Named after the film of the same name, it is popular with film buffs and those interested in post war history.

Other notable architectural works include several religious buildings. Indeed St. Stephen’s Cathedral is iconic of Vienna. It has a distinctive tiled roof, and a southern tower offering views over the city. Moreover check out the Church of the Jesuits. Besides these amazing buildings, the State Hall of the Austrian National Library is worth investigating. Check out the frescos and the large globes.

Besides all this cultural shock, you can also head to do other things such as go on the Giant Ferris Wheel, visit the Schonbrunn Zoo or watch the equestrians at the Spanish Riding school. And day trips are available to such cites as Salzburg, Budapest and Prague.
